Who is responsible

This website belongs to Vinay Trivedi, an author based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. For any question about your information, write to contact.vinaytrivedi@gmail.com.

Reading

You can read every page on this website without creating an account or giving any personal details.

Each piece in Blogs and Articles shows how many times it has been read. When a page opens, the website adds one to a simple count for that piece. The count is a number only. It does not record who you are, where you are or what else you read. To avoid counting the same visit twice, your browser keeps a small note for the rest of that visit. The note stays on your device and is not sent anywhere.

The Readers List

If you join the Readers List, we collect your email address, the date you joined, the page you joined from and your consent to receive letters. We use your address only to send occasional letters from Vinay Trivedi: new writing, early chapters, book announcements, notes from behind the manuscript and the occasional poem.

Your address is stored securely with Cloudflare, the company that hosts this website, and may later be held by the email service used to send the letters. We never sell, rent or share your address for anyone else's marketing. We keep it only for as long as you remain on the list. Every letter includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to remove you by email at any time.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may set strictly necessary cookies that protect the website against abuse. These cookies do not follow you across other websites. The Cookie Policy has the details.

Hosting and security

The website is served by Cloudflare. Like every web host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and to keep the website secure. This information is handled under Cloudflare's own privacy policy.

Links to other websites

Pages link to Medium, Substack, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and other websites. When you follow those links or use the share buttons, the other website's own privacy policy applies.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. You can withdraw your consent to receive letters at any time. Children

The Readers List is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date at the top.
